summer hill flour mills

The flour mills at Summer Hill have been a fixture of the low skyline of Sydney’s Inner West for many generations.
They were being slowly knocked down to make way for apartments when i took these photos back in 2015, and have now since been destroyed, or entirely covered up.

the grampians

A very cold and misty July evening produced these images of the Grampians National Park in Western Victoria.
The very fast Tungsten-balanced film gives the low clouds incredible texture and a strange purple and blue cast.

A Field in Victoria

A malfunctioning 35mm camera in the North West of Victoria meant i had to rely on a very old medium format camera for a few hours which gave me these soft and beautiful square landscapes in the early morning light with wonderful clouds.

Coober Pedy

A bizarre little town half-way between Adelaide and Alice Springs. Coober Pedy is the Opal Mining Capital of Australia, and the landscape is covered in mounds from mine-test-digs, which give an incredibly surreal and otherworldly feel as you’re driving through the country side.
Agfa Ultra 100 & Rollei Retro 80S 35mm

Lake Hart

A salt lake in South Australia. As i arrived, the lake was slowly filling centimetre by centimetre, and in complete silence except for the sounds of the water crackling into the small gaps in the salt.
